More Than A Moment

What happens when you commit to anything for more than a moment? More often than not, such a commitment results in deeper relationships, with deeper convictions, and a more lasting result.

This month and next, His Voice will consider the impact your faithful giving has on the lives of the vulnerable in East Africa. The stories are as numerous as they are inspiring. When donors commit to regular giving, it enables us to plan our ministry efforts in advance and make the most efficient use of food and other items to be distributed to the vulnerable. A 2-3 year commitment helps us plan ahead, serve vulnerable communities with foresight, and create lasting change.

This summer, we're inviting friends of His Voice Global to make a commitment that goes beyond a moment. Our mid-year goal is $1M, and multi-year pledges are helping making reaching that goal possible. Watch this video to hear Co-Founder Amber Burger kick off our conversation.

Update on Ebola

We want to thank you for your concern and your prayers for our staff on the ground in Uganda in the wake of the Ebola outbreak in the Congo. As you know, the Congo border is close to our ministry base in Arua, Uganda, so we have been busy working to educate and protect our staff and those we serve there.

Some of our American staff are back in the U.S. while some remain in Uganda, but the really encouraging thing is that our local staff, and even those we previously ministered to in the north Uganda area have responded to the challenge by taking a leadership role with wisdom, courage, and compassion. We are encouraged that the Lord is "Raising Up Leaders Among the Vulnerable", as our Mission Statement says, as our indigenous friends step forward.

Uganda Country Manager Mike Elkins reports that "we have begun strengthening communication networks with local health workers, medical professionals, and community leaders so that accurate information can be shared quickly and responsibly. Our goal is not to spread fear but to foster a protective mindset that helps communities care for one another wisely." At the same time, our ministry to those who need help with food, clean water, and medical assistance continues.
