Vernon and Amber Burger

Founders of His Voice Global

Vernon Burger is the Co-Founder and Principal of His Voice Global. The Lord placed in his heart a desire to care for and minister to orphans and widows.  The Lord provided an incredible church in Southern Sudan called Evangelical Presbyterian Church (no affiliation with EPC in America) for him to walk out this desire. Amber is the Co-Founder and also helps with logistical support from home where she takes care of their three sons, Titus, Justus and Silas.

Darrell Parrish

Executive Director

Jan and Darrell Parrish live in Kansas City, Missouri and enjoy travel, camping, hiking, and gardening. They have four adult children. Darrell joined the His Voice board after visiting Sudan in 2009 with a team from the Village Church. Darrell has also recently graduated from Redeemer Seminary in Dallas. Darrell also serves as the lead on our Theological Training and provides oversight on our Girls Safe House in Kenya.

"We are excited to be a part of what God is doing through His Voice to serve widows, orphans, and church leaders around the world."

Bruce Lowe

Director of Economic Development

Bruce loves a table of good food with family and friends, traveling, fly-fishing and reading. After graduating in 1976 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M, he held several engineering and executive positions in the oil and gas industry. In response to God’s call, he joined Stonegate Fellowship, Midland Texas, as Missions Director in 2006. He and his wife, Martha, moved to Austin in 2013 to be close to their adult children, Rob and Ann, and family. In Austin, prior to joining His Voice, he has invested time in assisting mission organizations in building capacity and missional effectiveness.

“His Voice has been tireless in participating in the building of God’s Kingdom and I want to work to support these efforts to define how we can take their successes to the next level. I will focus on our relationships with our partners, on our programs, and on our internal capacity to support these programs. Using the God-given opportunities I have had throughout my career to learn much about teamwork, organization, relationship and impact throughout my career, I will help His Voice sustain and grow in their Kingdom effort. This is a great gift to me."

Lloyd Wiede

Director of Development

Lloyd and his wife Amy live in Dallas, Texas, where they are actively involved in their church and in a global Bible study called Bible Study Fellowship. They attended Baylor University, as did their three children, who have since married and added ten grandchildren to the family. After a successful business career, Lloyd felt God’s call to enter a “second career” as a fundraiser for God’s Kingdom, and he has worked full-time in that capacity since March of 2013.

Lloyd and Amy enjoy being with their grandchildren and being a part of their lives. They both enjoy sports of all kinds, especially college basketball. Lloyd loves the game of golf, but Amy owns the only golf trophy ever earned between the two.

“I love the ministry God has given to His Voice Global, and I’m excited to be a part of it. One of my passions is to see God work in the lives of His people as they become engaged in what He is doing and where He is leading. I feel blessed to be able to share the story of this ministry with others.”

Danielle Kwok

Kenya Short Term Team Lead/Special Events Coordinator

Hello! I’m Danielle Kwok, the Director of Communications for His Voice Global. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor’s in Communications. After graduating, I worked in the Missions Office at Houston’s First Baptist Church. I went on from there to pursue more creative ventures and became a graphic designer and project manager for a small creative agency, BrightSpot Creative.

I have a passion to love people well, bring justice and joy wherever I can and use my creativity to do something good. These are a few of the things that have led me to this position at HVG. I am so excited to have a part in what the Lord is doing through this organization.
