Peace in South Sudan is dramatically opening up opportunities for our ministry to orphans, vulnerable children, and the local church.
One of our goals with respect to the orphans in our care is always to be able to place them with loving families who can provide for their well-being. In this year of great opportunity, we have been able to place all but 16 of our Yei orphans with responsible families! We are praising God for this breakthrough while being mindful that there are still many more displaced children in South Sudan who are in need of families. Please continue to pray for our continuing efforts to restore, rebuild, and renew families and communities in South Sudan.
Peace has also opened the door for us to consolidate both the primary and secondary schools in Yei while greatly expanding our discipleship efforts throughout the country.
Moving the Nehemiah secondary school from miles away onto the campus of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) in Yei will unite the younger children already in the primary school there with their older counterparts. Classroom construction will be necessary to accommodate the expanding number of both primary and secondary students as they learn and grow together within the security of the EPC campus. You can give to help provide facilities for these students by clicking the donate button below.
Finally, we are excited about the use of the Nehemiah campus as our new theological and discipleship training center. The Lord has opened up unprecedented opportunities to work alongside South Sudanese from every one of their 32 states to carry out the Great Commission and make disciples of Jesus.
Thank you for praying for the children and families of South Sudan, and for the expansion of God’s Kingdom among the nations. We appreciate you!
