A New Bus for Rift Valley Fellowship
We wanted to make you aware of an opportunity to assist our friends at Rift Valley Fellowship. Excitement is growing as construction of the Way of Hope boys home continues to progress as the wall has been completed, the gate is installed and the foundation for the house is in place.
The land on which the home is located is several kilometers from Maai Mahiu and Lulu Place. Over the last couple of months as we began to think about the boys moving from Maai Mahiu to the land, it became apparent RVF is going to need transportation for the children. For them to make daily trips to school, take recreational outings, and attend church functions, RVF needs a van or bus.
The folks at Naomi’s Village reached out to Isaac and Esther to let them know they were preparing to sell one of their busses. NV graciously gave RVF the first option to purchase the 34 passenger bus at a price well below the amount we expected to pay for a new or even used vehicle elsewhere.
For $11,500 we can purchase the bus, make a few minor updates, and have it licensed. We agreed with Isaac and Esther that this was an offer RVF could not pass up and they have made a commitment to purchase the bus but we need your help.
Would you prayerfully consider making a contribution to help RVF cover the cost of the bus that will fill a critical need in their ministry? Thank you for all of your prayers and support as we begin to see the Way of Hope dream become a reality.
UPDATE : Last month we shared with you Rift Valley Fellowship"s need for a bus to transport the children at Way of Hope and Lulu Place. So far $1,650 has been donated toward the $11,500 needed to cover the cost of the bus. Please consider helping out by making a donation toward the remainder.
Our thanks to these young ladies who raised $900 for the bus by selling lemonade. Must have been really good lemonade!"
