Thanks for partnering with His Voice Global !

James 1:27 is a scripture that we love here at His Voice. Is says this, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

Of course we love it, it speaks directly to who we are and what we do as an organization, but the second part of it is what we strive for. To be unstained from the world.

I know I can get caught up in the things of this world, and I can truly let them affect me. Recently Andrew and I made the move to Dallas, TX. We decided to downsize, rent smaller and stick with the one car we share, “Live a little more simply”.
So, we had a huge two day moving sale and made $3,000 dollars. Who knew we had that much stuff to get rid of?

There is something to be said for how we obtain so much because we “need” it.
I think there is a movement of the Holy Spirit sweeping in the hearts of Christians right now that says, “To be full, all you need is Me.”
The reaction many are having to this is, “Let’s get rid of our stuff!” I by no means think this is the only answer, but I do know that just because we live in this world does not give us right to be consumed by it.

“Simply Full” is a way to make life more simple, or to do “greater things” in a more simple way, while helping others have life to the fullest.

Here are some great ways to live out James 1:27 right now!

Where does His Voice Do Work?
South Sudan. We have 3 orphanages in South Sudan and are currently building a 4th. With our help the South Sudanese people have set up a business, the Lion of Judah Trucking Company. The trucking company exists to provide income for the workers but also to sustain the workings of the orphanage.
Each orphanage complex includes a church, a freshwater well, a farm, a medical clinic, and a school where the local kids come to learn and eat one meal a day. The best part about the work in South Sudan is that the Gospel is being taught to the 254 orphans, and we have provided jobs for over 130 Sudanese people, mostly widows, who are doing Kingdom work!
Kolkata, India. We have currently partnered with an incredible couple, Nabin and Matilda. They have a calling to go into Howrah Train Station and minister to the children who live there. The goal is for these children to come out of the violence in Howrah and live at the home Nabin and Matilda lead out on.
The focus of the home is to give holistic discipleship that allows these boys to get an education, be ministered to from the scars of life they have incurred, and also be equipped to go and make disciples of all nations.
We are beginning work in an undisclosed area of East Asia. We cannot share about that. But it is focusing on abandoned children and orphans as well.

Children's message/object lesson

Need:
A jar with bunch of marbles - enough marbles for each child.  Use these images as you wish for visual aids.

Scripture.
James 1:27
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself  unstained from the world.

Script -
What is in this jar? (show the jar)
Marbles! Right!
So what if I told you that these marbles cost $10.00 each. Would you want to buy a marble?
Probably not, right? It is just a little glass marble.
(Hold some in your hand)
You know what though? There is something really special about marbles.
Have you ever held a handful of marbles and looked at how each one is different? The thing about marbles is they are all different, yet are alike in many ways. Marbles are made up of the same material and are made the same way. Some of them even have the same colors. Even though they have all those things in common, each one is still very different from the next.
In a lot of ways marbles are like us. We are all made of the same material, skin, bones, muscle, blood and water...we are shaped the same way, and for each of us, there are other people who are the same color!
But, look at these marbles, If you look really closely, each one is very unique. There really are no two marbles that are identical. If you look at us, people, you will find the same thing, there are no two of us that are exactly the same.
Now, would you say that you are worth $10.00?
Of course you are!
For today, lets say that these marbles represent PEOPLE - Just like you!
The jar that holds them is a home AND a project that gives life to these people.  Let’s say this jar represents a home for kids where they learn about Jesus, they go to school, have food, and have women who take care of them!
There is this organization called His Voice Global and we as a church have the opportunity to team up with them to help build an orphanage. We want them to make sure that all these marbles get to be in the jar! (the kids get to be the home)
It costs money to make an orphanage. Today, when your family makes a donation to His Voice Global, each member of the family will get a marble! You can put these on your kitchen table, carry it around in your pocket, or make jewelry or magnets out of them. Right now I am going to give each of you one of these marbles. This marble is going to be a reminder for you to pray for one person, a little boy or girl in Sudan or India that your family is helping to give a home.

So, let’s start praying for the kids and the workers in Sudan and India right now; let’s pray that they will hear God’s Voice, telling them that He hears them, and loves them.
