This would be my first post here, so hello there.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Sarah Beard and I am new to the staff that makes up His Voice Global, but I like to consider myself a part of the team since the beginning.
In 2004 I received a call from Vernon asking me to go to Sudan as the photographer. In Jan 2005, I found myself on a little bitty airplane over the fields in Southern Sudan…that was when we were called ardent soul ministries. Since then we have been called His Voice for Sudan and now…His Voice Global.

We are His Voice Global because we are working in places other than Sudan now. Which brings me to the point of my post today.

I have never been to India, I haven’t ever really wanted to go to India, I will even go as far as to say that when I watched Eat, Pray, Love the only one of her destinations that I felt I could live without was India.

However, I spent much of my yesterday checking out the path of His Voice over the last few years. I didn’t know much about what we were actually doing in India. I watched this video.

Other than what I saw and read at, the only other thing I have ever really heard about was what I saw on Slumdog Millionaire.
I went to sleep last night and dreamt of children in India. Let me tell you, I have some vivid dreams. I dreamt of kids playing and singing. I dreamt of kids hearing the Gospel and having their lives transformed. I dreamt about one boy in a red plaid shirt who sat and told me a story about the terrible things he had to do to survive…but he was sitting in a safe place now, rescued from that life, receiving an education, hope for a future and love in its purest form.

I woke up with an excitement to see God’s transformative power at work in India. And then I opened my Bible. I have been reading through, so this was not random.
One of my readings for today was Psalm 82.
Which says.

3Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding,
they walk about in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6I said, “You are gods,
sons of the Most High, all of you;
7nevertheless, like men you shall die,
and fall like any prince.”

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth;
for you shall inherit all the nations.”
